Sidecar Capture extension

A local browser extension that reads the producer page you already have open in your own logged-in session and queues the details. Nothing is crawled in the background, and no credentials ever leave your machine.

Install

  1. 1Download the extension ZIP below and unzip it.
  2. 2Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc.
  3. 3Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. 4Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
  5. 5On an IMDb page, click the Sidecar Capture extension icon to open the capture panel right in the current tab.
  6. 6Browse producer pages as usual — click the Send to Sidecar button, or queue producers from a Filmmakers list.
  7. 7Hit Copy for Sidecar in the panel and paste the queue below.

The extension has no server, no login and no background requests — it only reads the page currently in front of you. Keep your own account use within the site's terms.

Import queue

Paste the JSON copied from the extension popup. Film titles are uppercased and duplicates skipped automatically.

Opens in the current tab

Click the Sidecar Capture icon on any IMDb page and the panel appears inline on the right side of the same tab — no popup that closes when you click the page, and no separate window.

Producers only, automatically

On a filmmakers list or search results page the extension reads each row's credited role and shows a “Queue N producers” button — actors, writers and directors are skipped. A “Queue all” button stays available if you want everyone.

Queue and visit

Open the panel’s To visit tab, flip on Auto-capture, then hit “Open next”. Each profile you open is captured on load — no button press, and you’re still the one navigating.

Direct Contact only

A contact counts as Direct only when there's an email under the Direct Contact heading. If there isn't one, the extension falls back to the first Company block that lists an email and marks it as a Company contact. Agent, manager, legal, publicist and guild/union listings are always ignored.

What it never does

It never fetches pages in the background, never auto-advances on its own, and never stores a password. Every page load comes from a click you made.
